A nice town of Benalmádena is located between Fuengirola and Torremolinos, to the west of Málaga and the international airport. It is well known for its beautiful beaches, award-winning marina, vibrant nightlife, amusement parks and beautiful underwater park. Due to its privileged location and accessibility this municipality has grown enormously in popularity over the last 20 years and currently has 30,000 inhabitants on an area of 30km².
Benalmádena consists of 3 parts: Benalmádena Costa, Benalmádena Pueblo and Arroyo de La Miel.
Benalmádena Costa is famous for its beautiful marina with more than 1000 moorings, that has been awarded with the “Best Marina in the World” several times through the years. It is bustling with positive and relaxed vibes day and night thanks to the lively bars with open terraces and a nightlife with posh clubs. The marina is also home to the Sea Life Center where you can see all different species of marine animal life.
On the both sides of the marina there are 8km of blue flag beaches with a beautiful promenade leading to Torremolinos on one side and the 5 star Casinohotel Torrequebrada on the other.
A promenade stretches along the coast with local shops and places to eat. The variety of bars and restaurants is enormous. You can find one for every budget and every cuisine.

Benalmádena is voor de kinderen een paradijs met zijn themapark Tivoli World, Selwo Marina en Paloma Park. Er is ook de mogelijkheid om via een kabelbaan naar de top van de berg te gaan en er te genieten van een imposant uitzicht over de kust, of de Jardin de Las Aguilas (tuin van de arenden) te bezoeken. Een prachtig roofvogelcentrum waar je de majestueuze roofvogels kan zien vliegen onder supervisie van meertalige deskundige vogeltrainers.
In het centrum bevindt zich het prachtig La Paloma Park met een imponerende verscheidenheid aan flora en fauna en thematische tuinen met rotsachtige watervallen die in een groot kunstmatig meer vallen. Het park herbergt meer dan 90 soorten palmbomen en collecties van bamboe, cactussen en andere vetplanten. Tevens biedt het park een imposant uitzicht op de middellandse zeekust.
In het park bevindt zich het Selwo Dolfinarium waar een wereld van dolfijnen, zeeleeuwen en pinguïns zich ontplooit.
Benalmádena Pueblo is the authentic Andalusian village at the foot of the mountain Calamorro at the altitude of about 200m. The jewel of the village is the building of the town hall that can be seen from every street in the entire area. The heart of the village has retained its Spanish character with typical whitewashed stone buildings and labyrinths of narrow streets.
One of the cultural attractions of Benalmádena is the Stupa. It is a 33m high and the largest Buddhist temple in the Western part of the world. This wonder of architecture with the phenomenal panoramic views is definitely worth a visit. Right next to it you can find the Butterfly Park that hosts more than 1500 species of the most colorful butterflies in the world.

Arroyo de la Miel verbindt Benalmádena Pueblo met de Costa. Dit pittoreske gedeelte zit vol van kronkelende straatjes en mooie pleinen die u een goed beeld geven van de oude dorpse manier van leven. U vindt er in elke bar, restaurant en koffiehuizen, traditionele Andalusische tapas en vooruitstrevende gerechten. Eén van de meest populaire bestemmingen is het heerlijk rustige plein Plaza de España.
